A native of Pennsylvania, Tom Scott attended the Scottish College of Textiles, where he specialized in knits. Having worked as a textiles designer for Calvin Klein and accessories designer for Ralph Lauren, Scott launched his own line in 2001. Specializing in knitwear to this day, the designer emphasizes a fusion between garments and accessories in his sought after collections.

Scott's designs have been showcased at the the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, New York, the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, the Contemporary Art Museum, Houston, and Palais de Tokyo, Paris.
