German born, Belgian based designer Stephan Schneider's intention is to dress his customer in a highly personal, recognizable way. Schneider's collection is made using the same fabrics for both the men's and women's collections, giving her an austere and him a gentle character. Nostalgia and reality are referenced and balanced in decorative elements that can be found in the garments in a delicately and minimally structured way, creating an identifying and unequivocal look. Stephan Schneider graduated at the top of his class from the Royal Academy for Fine Arts in Antwerp in 1994. In 1996 his first flagship store opened in Antwerp, followed by another in Tokyo in 2001. He is currently a professor at the Fashion Department of the Berlin University of Fine Arts.
