Paris-based designer Samuel Gassmann began his professional career as a curator, overseeing exhibitions at Art Basel Miami Beach and Saatchi & Saatchi. A fascination with the history of the garment button eventually led Gassmann to develop his distinctive men's accessories line in 2009.
Gassmann's cufflinks are made of porcelain, mother of pearl and French jet, a carved black glass. One series of his cufflinks resemble everyday buttons made from these fine materials, while others are inscribed with his mother's fingerprints or celestial forms.
