Ross Menuez spent part of the 1980's building houses for the Sandanista front in Nicaragua, and later ran a metal shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Having also worked as a designer for IDEE and UK-based furniture manufacturer Habitat, Menuez started Salvor Projects in 2003; the majority of his line is still hand-printed in his Manhattan studio.
Continuously creating garments bearing Menuez's distinctive prints, Salvor Projects has been commissioned for independent costume and design projects by leading international artists and performers including Bruce Weber, Mariko Mori and Björk.
