New Orleans-born, New York-based sculptor Jane D'Arensbourg hand-fires her jewelry using Pyrex, the durable glass used to manufacture laboratory beakers. Having worked with glass to fabricate her sculptures and installation works, D'Arensbourg more recently began using similar materials to manufacture the beautiful jewelry seen here. In addition to the elegant forms that result from her glass-torching process, the sound and movement specific to her glass jewelry has earned D'Arensbourg a loyal following.
