Treating materials like silver and gold as fiber, De Pinto's work is characterized by her balance of refinement and chance; a few stray chain "threads" are still visible in every finished piece. This season's pieces are composed of a stunning variety of dyed and gold-plated silvers--crocheted, wound, tied, and braided together.

De Pinto has been elected a Gen Art Fresh Face of Fashion Design (New York, 2007), sponsor-selected for participation in Ideal (Berlin, 2008) and a participant in Rendez-Vous Paris (2008). She lives and works in Montreal and New York.
